Arnaldo's innovative DNA can be seen from the first steps taken; in fact, he will be the first in Castelfidardo to make a production of varnished wooden accordions, that is, without the use of celluloid
The first line produced is called "Europa," which a few years later will be named Prestige. The instrument is precisely made with different painted wood essences, chrome-plated brass fretwork, bold squared lines and powerful sound. The press of the time calls it a signature instrument, the latter quote becoming Beltuna's first slogan
In 1990 the line called "Leader" was born, characterized by an innovative patented system called amplisound which, confluing the air of the voices in a cassotto in a special resonance box, restores a warm and deep sound, never heared
In 1992 the lines of the Prestige and Leader models become more soft and rounded. The ergonomics of the instrument are punched and studied to be comfortable, stable and pleasant to play
In 1993 the first button accordion keyboard was realized, mounted on 4 pins instead of 3, conferring to all the rows of buttons the same valve lift and therefore a homogeneity of sound on all the rows
In 1996 Beltuna debuts at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, the most important fair in the world in the sector of musical instruments
In 1997 a new color is born for the aesthetic finish of the instrument called "wood effect" obtained by hand coating of 2 colors
In 2002, a special voice preparation is made on Leader models, which is called GHV (Gold Handcraft Voice), optimizing and improving the performance of voices in terms of readiness and power
In 2003 the wood effect was extended to other colors so the shaded blue wood effect, the shaded red wood effect and so on
In 2004 the Amplisound was improved and made more perceptable in the ear by modifying the materials and the resonance box opening system
In 2005, a little return to the origins from the aesthetic point of view: in fact, the woods used in the early 80's which covered the entire accordion are combined with shades of color that give a new elegant and modern look to the instrument. This is the birth of the instruments in walnut briar, red olive, blue olive, ebony etc.
In 2006 a new line of professional accordions called Spirit is born, characterized by a sound that combines the power of the Prestige line with the warm sound of the Leader line. The result is a sound rich in harmonics and well balanced on the whole keyboard. An attractive and precious aesthetic makes the spirit model the new flag of the company, which now has 3 lines of professional models (Prestige, Leader and Spirit) with sounds for every taste and for every musical genre
In 2007 the Beltuna celebrates the 25th anniversary during the Castelfidardo prize, in which many international artists take part who in 7 days of events entertain the public showing the accordion in many different styles: folk, varietè, jazz, classic, tango etc. The event has so successful that today the PIF repeats the same format in parallel with the competition and events at the Astra theater
In 2013 the fly line was born: all Beltuna models can be equipped with some carbon fiber parts instead of metal, lowering the weight of the instrument by about 1.5 kg, keeping the sound quality and sturdy of the instrument unalterated. All combined with attractive and original aesthetic solutions always aimed at reducing weight. The production of carbon components is made within Beltuna by its expert artisans
In 2014, another new aesthetic finish enhances Beltuna instruments: vintage, a real work of art. The instrument is embellished with precious metals such as copper, silver and gold
In 2020 (after ten years of studies and research) the Grand Convertor is born, the first line of free-bass models produced with an electromechanical left hand management that reduces the weight, eliminates noise, does not need maintenance and improves the sound. This new patented system is managed by a software but it produces an acoustic sound. It is a revolution in the world of accordion
The Matrix is born in 2022. From today the accordion is projected into the future: increases its sound and timbrity possi- bilities, makes the musician's performance easier, becomes with 3 keyboards, controls the left hand volume, interfaces with an app, opens new scenarios for composers, proposes itself fully as one of the most complete musical instruments
